Vehicle Turn In
Approximately 120 days before your lease is scheduled to end, Ford Credit will send you a Pre-Termination Communication; a step-by-step outline of what to expect at lease end.
With a Red Carpet Lease you are required to return your vehicle to your originating dealer*. Call your dealer to make an appointment prior to vehicle drop off.
When you turn in your vehicle a dealership representative or independent vehicle inspector authorized by Ford Credit will:
- Review the overall condition of the vehicle with you.
- Complete the Vehicle Condition Report with you and ask for your signature on each of these documents.
- Please note as of January 1st, 2010, customers will be required to complete lease-end vehicle disclosure questions such as:
- Has the vehicle’s odometer been rolled back?
- Has the vehicle been used as a police cruiser?
- Has the vehicle sustained damage caused by fire?
- Collect any charges due for excess wear and tear and excess kilometrage.
These questions do not represent an extensive list of disclosure questions and are mere samples only. Customers will be provided with the lease-end disclosure questions at time of lease termination.
* If you have moved, and are now residing more than 200 kilometres from your originating dealer, you may return the vehicle to a participating Ford or Lincoln dealer. Be sure to contact the respective dealer for an appointment prior to vehicle return
