GLASS CHARGEABLE WEAR & TEAR
Any damage to the windshield, regardless of size or location, is considered
chargeable wear and tear if you do not have the windshield damage repaired or
replaced before returning your vehicle. We encourage you to contact your insurance
company and have any damaged glass repaired or replaced prior to lease end.
Some examples of glass damage are cracks, chips, scratches, star breaks, and
bulls' eyes.
Ford Credit will use the Wear and Tear Template in determining the appropriate charges for glass damage.
*The size of the circle is equal to the diameter of a Quarter.
If the glass damage is within the circle on the Wear and Tear
Template (or smaller than a Quarter*), the following will be assessed:
1 Damaged area within circle - $75 charge
2 Damaged areas each within circle - $150 charge ($75 each)
More than 2 Damaged areas each within circle -
(Full Replacement cost of the windshield)
If the glass damage is larger than the circle on the Wear and Tear Template (or larger than a Quarter*), then the Full Replacement cost of the windshield will be assessed.
